Robert Maaskant returns at NAC Breda as a head coach. The 45-year-old coach succeeds Eric Hellemons.
The current number seventeen of the league confirmed Friday the return of the coach that the club between 2008 and 2010 even though under his wing . Maaskant has signed a contract until the end of the season at the NAC. Hellemons is assistant Maaskant.
Maaskant was until recently field coach at the US Columbus Crew, but was allowed to leave.
Maaskant is the third coach this season at NAC. Earlier, Nebojsa Gudelj and Hellemons the lead in the current number seventeen in the league. Technical director Graeme Rutjes approached Maaskant already in November after the resignation of Gudelj.
Born Schiedammer thanked then for the job and NAC then suggested to the inexperienced Eric Hellemons with Rob Penders assistant. However, the results were disappointing, after Rutjes turned again to Maaskant. Who snapped this time though, and should maintain NAC for the league.
The NAC stand because of financial problems under close supervision of the KNVB, but the club would have been authorized by the Football Association for the implementation of a plan of action, including players can be recruited.
Dirk Marcellis was Wednesday already presented as reinforcement. The 26 year old defender was a contract until the end of the season match NAC.
Across the arrival of Marcellis is the departure of Isak Ssewankambo. The Swedish youth international will immediately move to the English Derby County, where Steve McClaren’s trainer. Ssewankambo came last summer about the youth of Chelsea
