With its finals in Paris booked Lucie Safarova Thursday her best Grand Slam result ever. The Czech tennis player defeated Ana Ivanovic in the semi-finals at Roland Garros. The Serb who won the tournament in 2008, still had a strong start but then gave the director of hands: 7-5 7-5.

The thirteenth scaled Czech directly delivered her first serve in. With a 5-2 lead Ivanovic looked towards setwinst. From that moment Safarova came out better in the game. Those preferably scored five points in a row and won the set 7-5.
In the second set passed the aggressive playing Safarova again in the Serb break. That lead did hold Safarova.
Despite the loud cheers of her boyfriend Bastian Schweinsteiger, who plays for Bayern Munich, Ivanovic failed to really turn the tide.
It seemed as it Safarova’s duel 5-4 could decide. But both players lost their stores. Safarova 6-5 silvered or the chance to decide the game, 7-5.
Safarova will play in the final against the winner of the match between American Serena Williams and the Swiss Timea Bacsinszky.
Ivanovic won the French clay court tournament in 2008 for the first and last time. Then did the 27-year-old Serb to not reach the finals in Paris. Safarova this year at Roland Garros in singles no set lost
