Eager Max Verstappen opens sixth time – AD.nl

Max Verstappen is energetically started the new season in Formula 1. The 17 year old Dutchman scored today in the first free practice for the Australian Grand Prix, the sixth time.

He clocked on the circuit of Melbourne 1.31,067 and was a fraction slower than his teammate at Toro Rosso, Carlos Sainz. Spaniard who set the fourth fastest time.

The drivers of Mercedes set the tone. The German Nico Rosberg was the fastest in 1.29,557, British world champion Lewis Hamilton drove the second time: 1.29,586
