Italian anti-doping organization wants to suspend many as 26 athletes – NU.nl

The national anti-doping organization NADO has requested their exclusion because they did not cooperate would have given in an audit. NADO speaks of “fraud, denial and failure to conduct a blood or urine sample.

The Gazzetta dello Sport made Wednesday the names of the athletes in question are known. Among them are triple jumper Fabrizio Donato, winner of Olympic bronze in London, long jumper Andrew Howe, long distance runner Daniele Meucci and former world pole vault Giuseppe Gibilisco.

Quick walker Alex Schwazer also fits in the series but currently sits in a suspension because of doping.

The accused, of whom a good number already stopped, it involves administrative errors. They have to justify next year in front of the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI)
