UPDATE AZ and John van den Brom today reached an oral agreement on a tenure as head coach. The club and the 47-year-old coach laps after the weekend the final contractual details off. Reported that the two-time national champion on its website.
Van den Brom is not yet so tomorrow on the bench as AZ takes on his former employer ADO Den Haag. The formation is again led by interim head coach Dennis Hair and Marco van Basten. The duo is the new head coach assisting in Alkmaar.
Van den Brom spoke last week with Van Basten on the job of head coach at AZ. During that meeting showed that both coaches were aligned. AZ had to search for a new head coach since Van Basten recently indicated that he could no longer handle the stress that a trainer entails. Alex Pastoor was originally the intended successor to the former coach of the Dutch national team. The leadership of AZ, however, is to doubt his integrity. AZ and the former assistant of Van Basten have not yet reached agreement on a redundancy.
Van den Brom came as a player for Vitesse, Ajax, Istanbulspor and De Graafschap. As head coach, he was at the helm at AGOVV, ADO Den Haag, Vitesse and Anderlecht. The Belgian club, he was champion in 2013.
