Huntelaar and Schalke off despite victory at Real – NUsport.nl

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is Tuesday just failed to penetrate with Schalke 04 in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Bernabeu was in spectacular duel with Real Madrid won 4-3. Three weeks before the next match in Gelsenkirchen, however, had ended in 2-0 for the people of Madrid.

Huntelaar was twice confidently in the match against his former club. He put Schalke after forty minutes to a 2-1 lead and made just before the time 4-3.

Five minutes later it was all right again. Cristiano Ronaldo headed touch off a corner kick, but Schalke refused to be dissuaded. A few minutes Huntelaar put to rest earned his side a 2-1 lead.
