Heerenveen and De Graafschap regret miss opening game – NU.nl

Due to the planned police strike decided the mayor of Heerenveen, Tjeerd van der Zwan, to ban the game. For both PhD De Graafschap as Heerenveen a bitter pill.

“Very annoying this, something is working out and now you can again upset the entire schedule,” said Jan Vreman, head coach of the ‘Super Farmers’ on the club’s website. “We must just make the best of it and work towards the new date.”

Despite the disappointment takes the management of the mayor Heerenveen nothing amiss. “We like to play,” says manager of football affairs Hans Vonk on the website of the Frisians. “But we do have understanding for the position of mayor.”

A judgment on the actions of the police will not spark sheets. “The police will undoubtedly have a good reason to take action.”

A new date for the match is not yet known, but it is certain that Heerenveen and De Graafschap the new football season is not the first will kick off. “Unfortunately, since the opening game of the season always gets a lot of attention from the media, which now goes beyond our noses.”
