The squad from Austria threatened in recent months with a departure from Formula 1 because it could not find a suitable engine supplier for next season.
“We are working hard on a new deal. We aim for next season and be active in the future in Formula 1,” said team boss Christian Horner on Thursday against the BBC .
Red Bull has a contract with Renault until mid-2016, but was not satisfied with the quality and therefore started looking for a successor.
Planning
The squad did earlier this year at Mercedes have found another supplier, but the German company pulled out at the last minute. Also talks with Ferrari and Honda eventually yielded nothing.
According to reports Renault next season will yet again provide the engine for Red Bull Racing. Horner did not confirm that yet. “At the end of the season I hope to make our plans public.”
