The 18-year-old Dutchman scored on the Interlagos circuit a time of 1.13,548, thus he was one and a half seconds slower than Lewis Hamilton was fastest.
Nico Rosberg was more than a tenth of an second admit his team-mate at Mercedes. Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) rode well away from the Briton and the German for the third time. Team mate Kimi Raikkonen and Valtteri Bottas (Williams) completed the top five.
Saturday Verstappen set his fastest time of the weekend down. He was over half a second quicker than Friday, when he did not come beyond the fourteenth time and complained frequently about his Toro Rosso.
Carlos Sainz teammate Verstappen at the Italian team, was nearly half a second slower than the Limburger. Team boss Franz Tost said earlier on Saturday still know that if it were up to him Verstappen and Sainz next season are running for Toro Rosso

Hamilton
Hamilton struggled with several problems during the final practice before qualifying. The world champion had his car halfway through the session to put the side because of a gearbox problem and spun a bit later too. Nevertheless, he managed to set the fastest time.
On Saturday at 17.00 hours Dutch time begins qualifying. The race is Sunday at 17:00

The battle for second place in the World Cup is between Rosberg and Vettel, the former defending a margin of 21 points in the last two races.
