Before the Europa League match between Lazio and Galatasaray was restless in the Italian capital Rome. Two men Wednesday with a knife were set on their buttocks. On race day the Italian police got to stick with about 300 Galatasaray fans.
A 23-year-old Turk and a 19-year-old Italian was brought Wednesday to hospital with stab wounds on their buttocks. In the evening there fighting had broken out in and around the Piazza de Popolo, where fans often gather for a match of AS Roma or Lazio.
Thursday was grim again in Rome. A few hours before kickoff stakes Turkish fans heat pipes and smoke bombs in the center. There two men were arrested for possession of ‘significant’ quantities of illegal substances, probably drugs. The duo had been banned from the stadium and its surroundings.
A little over a year ago destroyed Feyenoord fans for millions in damages before the match against AS Roma. According to the Roman police raided the suffering this time along with good international cooperation of the police and about 200 identity checks. They were all released by the police.
