The Young gets playing time at Newcastle-under 21 in the home game against Derby County, reports the Premier League club on Tuesday.
The former captain of Ajax was almost half a year absent because of a thigh injury which he sustained in August.
When he recovered almost fully from that injury in late January, the midfielder-cum-striker suffered a collapsed lung and had to rehabilitate him again two months. Meanwhile, De Jong can train again with the selection.
The Young will not sit in the selection for the Newcastle United game next Sunday against Tottenham Hotspur.
“He sits there close against it, but the next two or three races probably come too early, “said Newcastle coach John Carver.
The Young missed last season with Ajax, a large part of the competition by various injuries. His first pneumothorax and two muscle injuries meant that he had a small share in the fourth championship in a row of the Amsterdammers. He also ran the World Cup by wrong.
Since his move to Newcastle last summer came the six-time international of Orange only two league games in action for the current number thirteen of the Premier League. His last appearance in the main force in August
