The Dutch cycling union has some 140,000 euro credit from the ASO following the Tour start in Utrecht this summer. This is confirmed by director Huib Kloosterhuis.
“For the ASO is that amount child, but for us it’s serious money, so let this did not just happen,” said the director.
According Kloosterhuis it is “absolutely impossible” to make arrangements with the ASO. He stressed that the organization of the Tour of Italy, which next year will start in the Netherlands, have made good agreements.
The National Federation director is not afraid that he chases the Tour organization against him in the harness and a possible new Tour start Netherlands put at risk in the future.
“If they do not wish to abide by the rules, then they do come good not to the Netherlands? The Giro and the Vuelta are very beautiful. ”
Four months
According to the rules of the National Federation should anyone pay a contest organized by a base amount in the Netherlands, but the ASO refused so far to meet the amount. The National Federation now has been waiting four months for the money.
