Mercedes thanks to the “one-two” sure of the title in the constructors.
Dramatic
Rosberg experienced a dramatic initial phase on the circuit that the drivers performed along several locations in February, competed for medals at the Winter Olympics.
The title contender was already at the end of the first round to the inside after he complained about vibrations in the car due to flat spots on his tires.
Moments earlier, he had won the first place in Hamilton, although he later was ordered to stand because he had gone somewhere ahead this place again .
unthreatened
Due to the problems of the German drove Hamilton unthreatened in the lead, though Bottas long remained on track. Halfway through the race started, the 2008 world champion really be ahead of the competition.
in the meantime Rosberg took one after the other driver in. After 33 rounds – and once after everyone had gone inside – was the German, even back in second place. Because he did not have to the pits, Rosberg could hold this place, a strong final phase of Bottas notwithstanding.
The triumph of Hamilton was never in danger. The Briton drove in the final check to victory. Hamilton has his career now won 31 Grands Prix, which he does not have to tolerate the ‘eternal’ rankings.
Tribute
only five drivers above him
Prior to the race kept the drivers a tribute to Jules Bianchi, who is in hospital after his heavy crash at Suzuka last weekend. His condition is stable but critical.
The drivers gathered around a spot on the asphalt in which the message ‘ Jules, we are all supporting you’ was written.
Marussia decided to work for Bianchi no replacement; Max Chilton was thus the only Marussia driver who saw action in Sochi. The Briton quickly fell off.
There are still three races held this year in the United States (November 2), Brazil (9 November) and Abu Dhabi (November 23).
