After a stormy start with numerous attacks a group of eight riders got the blessing of the pack. The lead went towards the ten minutes, when the Astana team of Vincenzo Nibali took the helm.

While one after another rider stopped the fight, the pace of the peloton went up. The Tourmalet was the Sky team of Chris Froome which set the pace. In the ever-thinning group held Robert Gesink, Bauke Mollema and Laurens ten Dam fine mode. Like yesterday, the French top ranking last year particularly difficult.

On the final climb of the third category Mollema chose the attack. Nibali again could not follow and had to let his competitors. Mollema took just over five minutes to stage winner Rafal Majka seventh. Gesink persisted in the group behind and remains eighth in the standings

EN = still a country of cyclists? … Then it = normal that a NL’er carries the yellow jersey and wins the Tour .. right? Despite that, there is almost no NL’er can make a tour of thumb, I wish the NL’Toursportlieden a successful Tour 2015 increasing. Better bikes than dicks … would anyone / football coach say from Austria …

Froome has blocked me on Twitter after I asked what drugs he used. Irony is that I now get respect for Lance Armstrong start. Instead, please read the book by Tylor Hamilton
