Doctors of the International Automobile Federation FIA, the Spaniard McLaren this Thursday the green light.
“He has passed all tests and is fit to race,” the FIA said in a statement.
Alonso crashed last month during a test session in Barcelona and missed the opening race in Melbourne. He was replaced by Kevin Magnussen.
On his crash at the Circuit de Catalunya Alonso suffered a concussion. Three days he had to stay in the hospital.
Last weekend, Alonso also underwent several medical examinations already successfully. Thus tested short- and long-term memory. However, an additional medical examination of the FIA was required.
Alonso traded last winter Ferrari for McLaren, for which he was also active in 2007.
The doctors FIA also stated Valtteri Bottas physically able to race. The Finn Williams had two weeks ago the race in Melbourne drop by a back injury.
