The Deventer Go Ahead Eagles football club has fired head coach Foeke Booy. That says Voetbal International on the website. Booy previously announced that he would leave after this season, but, after the defeat last night against Vitesse (0-2) now resign immediately.
Go Ahead Eagles state after the defeat last night before last in the Eredivisie. The last five games were lost. In addition to the poor results was the growing dissatisfaction with the coach at the players reason to steer away Booy. The rest of the season will be assistant coach Dennis Demmers with Michel Boerebach at the helm.
Two weeks ago Booy, previously head coach was at FC Utrecht, the Saudi Al-Nassr, Sparta Rotterdam and the Belgian Cercle Brugge, announced that he would quit after this season at the club from Deventer. That led to angry reactions from fans who felt that he just had to immediately resign. Yesterday could find the press conference after the match against Vitesse canceled because angry fans demanded the departure of Booy.
Booy had since the summer of 2013 in the service of Go Ahead, after the club was promoted to the Eredivisie. In his first season he led the team to a handsome thirteenth place
