In the soap opera surrounding the investigation into the allocation of the World Cups of 2018 (Russia) and 2022 (Qatar ) FIFA president Sepp Blatter has added a new chapter.
According to the elderly Switzerland is to publish parts of the final report of the American jurist Michael Garcia indeed possible, provided that the persons mentioned therein and organizations officially have given their consent and waive any legal action whatsoever. That Blatter announced today on the website of FIFA in response to the urgent request of the English Football Association (FA) to make the entire report of Garcia public.
Blatter stressed again that under the own regulations and legislation is not possible to publish the entire investigation file into possible malpractice in bidprocedures both World Cups. Still limited FIFA therefore a summary, which was last week firmly by Garcia himself criticized several hours after the appearance.
