Vakoc writes Brabantse Pijl in his name – NU.nl

The 23 year old Czech rider Etixx-QuickStep rode in the last kilometer away from his four breakaway companions.

Behind him sprinted the Italian Enrico Gasparotto (Wanty-Groupe Gobert) to second place, the Frenchman Tony Gallopin (Soudal Lotto) was third. Maurits Lammertink (Roompot Orange Platoon) was on place seven best Dutchman.

Oliver Zaugg, Emanuel Buchmann, Sergey Nikolaev and Alberto Cecchin were the flight of the day. The maximum lead of four was five and a half minutes, but with 26 climbs on the route was their attempt doomed to failure.

Under the leadership of Lotto Soudal and Orica-GreenEdge came the peloton fast approaching. When the leading group was in sight, demarreerden among others Daryl Impey (Orica-GreenEdge) and Sean de Bie (Lotto Soudal).

The Dutch Berden de Vries and Sam Oomen tried to get away.



Weening

The peloton, however, never gave away a big lead. Just before the start of the final round was all together again, and Tim Wellens and Julian Alaphilippe waged attacks. The duo worked well together, but was eleven kilometers before the finish nevertheless nabbed again.

immediately followed by an attack by Pieter Weening. However, the Dutchman Roompot-Orange Platoon also could not last long enough.

The absolute final rained attacks. Vakoc went there on a few kilometers from the measuring just run off and kept quite clever position
