Schippers, Samuel and Martina reach final 200 meters – NUsport.nl

Dafne Schippers, Jamile Samuel and Churandy Martina Thursday have reached the final of the 200 meters at the European Athletics Championships.

Schippers came in the second semi-final in the first 22:48 over the line, which is good enough for the final battle.

The British Bianca Williams (22.91) finished second behind Schippers. The 22-year-old Utrecht won Wednesday all the gold in the 100m sprint.

Jamile Samuel also reached the final in Zurich by second coming in the third semifinal across the line. Only the British Jodie Williams was 22.90 faster. Of the eight athletes who will compete for the medals Friday was the Amsterdam or the slowest.
