The 42-year-old Reiziger is now as head coach Alex Pastoor until mid 2018 fixed at Castle. Pastor signed earlier this month in a new contract with Sparta.
“After renew my contract was in my view necessary to ensure speedy Michael Reiziger for capturing long time”, says the former coach among other NEC at the site of Sparta.
Voyager moved earlier this year to the first team of the Rotterdam after he previously served as coach of the B1. The former defender came at the time a contract of one and a half year in line with the club.
The 72-times international played in 1993 for six months along with Pastor at FC Volendam, which hired him at Ajax. Reiziger came later for FC Groningen, AC Milan, FC Barcelona, Middlesbrough and PSV.
Sparta is half the league leader in the Jupiler League with 42 points from eighteen games. The lead over number two VVV-Venlo five points
