Frank de Boer has Joël Veltman named as the replacement for the injured Kenny Tete. The Ajax coach has put the 24-year-old defender against Heracles Almelo right back. Mike van der Hoorn starting center back at the leader of the Eredivisie.
Ajax played Saturday’s home match against Vitesse (1-0) even in the formation after Tete was already in the nineteenth minute dropped out with a serious knee injury. Ricardo van Rhijn does make his comeback in the squad, but a basic place is not for the 24 year old from Leiden. Veltman may appear at the kickoff despite slight hamstring problems.
