That effort was symbolic of the lack of momentum in the dominant Willem II. Where a too high-placed volley from Lucas Andersen was the only really serious shot at the goal from Castro, Heracles founded in the counterpunch much more danger. Iliass Bel Hassani was the main instigator. The 23 year old midfielder Kostas Lamprou put to rest four times to work with shots from distance and finished with a sharp pass also pointed Wout Weghorst almost in contention.

That Bel Hassani after nearly an hour the man was that of all 22 players came closest to scoring, so it was no surprise. With a strong dribble action paved the Dutchman left-footed his way through a forest of Willem II defenders and then infest the top of the bar. Because both teams then hardly more came close to a goal, it remained at 0-0 in the first match of the 21th round.
