As early October in the European Championship final in Rotterdam long-Russians were too strong for Oranje, the end of May gets a second chance at the last Olympic qualifying tournament in Japan. On less heavily occupied event the volleybalsters get a second chance to qualify for the first time since 1996 for the Olympics.

The volleyball players were the Qualifier in Ankara on Monday with a heavy defeat against Germany (2-3) but then recovered with victories over Turkey and Croatia. In the semifinals Orange also proved himself too strong for Italy, leaving women Guidetti himself two chances at Rio gave. The first was missed Saturday, the second is about four months in Japan. At the global qualifying tournament are four tickets to Rio ready, one of the best Asian team.

Lonneke Sloetjes was seventeen points the most productive in Orange, Slice hit fourteen runs.
