Alfred Schreuder does not need to rely on a second chance as a head coach of FC Twente. After a much discussed season the club will notify him of a longer stay, is being denied reports the Algemeen Dagblad Friday.
The 42-year-old coach has a multiannual contract (mid-2019) in the Grolsch Veste and the surrender given the depressed state of Twente no piece of cake. However, the club realizes that intervention should be given the growing unrest among supporters and sponsors. Especially in the lost match against AZ’s lack of support was obvious.
It is unclear how FC Twente, which next week will clarify in an interview, this issue is going to address. The club has seen the financial situation ‘in principle’ not enough budget to buy out his contract. President Aldo van der Laan, an application can ask for smooth handling, but that seems to Schreuder not an option.
Schreuder wants gladly as coach of FC Twente and the players stand despite the mediocre season behind him. Possibly the club will need external funding to reach a solution. The redundancies at Feyenoord Fred Rutten considered a potential successor after he was already named as Technical Director .
