Royals beat Mets after fourteen innings in the first game World Series – NU.nl

The game in Kansas City is in the books as the longest opening game of the honkbaifinale in the US ever.

At 4-4 in the fourteenth inning was Eric Hosmer hit within which occupied with the bases on a sacrifice fly the decisive point.

The Mets appeared to win the game in the regular nine innings 4-3, but Alex Gordon made it flush on behalf of the Royals with a homerun in the ninth inning.

The second game in the World Series in the night between Wednesday and Thursday back in Kansas City.
