Stewart leave AZ for Philadelphia Union – NU.nl

The 46-year-old Stewart reached last weekend an agreement with the club from the United States, reports AZ Monday on the website of the Alkmaar club.

The departure of Stewart comes as no surprise. Last week, the 101-fold American International though he was in favor of the new feature in his country.

“Earnest has never made it a secret that his ambition is to someday in America to work to go, “said Robert Eenhoorn, director of general affairs at AZ Monday in announcing the news.

” The opportunity now arose. I have recently been working very comfortable with Earnest, but I understand that he wants to make this step. I wish him the best of luck with his new employer. “



Adventure

Stewart worked since the summer of 2010 at AZ and had previously worked as technical director of NAC. He looks with a good feel back on his years in Alkmaar.

“I’m AZ grateful for the opportunities I’ve gotten here,” said Stewart. “In recent years we have come as a club in a difficult financial situation. I’m glad I thereby have been able to help. To go on an adventure in America was a difficult decision because I’m leaving a great group of colleagues.”

“I’m sure that AZ has good times ahead, because the conditions for this are certainly present. Until January I’m going to do with Robert Eenhoorn everything to make this beautiful club in a good way behind.”
