Klaasen
Earlier on Friday Jelle Klaasen also reached the semi-finals in London. The 31-year-old Dutchman was in the quarterfinals with 5-4 too strong for the Englishman Alan Norris.
Klaasen was 3-1 in sets, but then hit his stride, fought back to 3 3. The next set went to Norris and in the thrilling eighth set looked like the Englishman on his way to victory

But it was still Klaasen who took the set and in the deciding set was opposition from Norris broken. For a place in the final Klaasen takes on defending champion Gary Anderson. The 45-year-old Briton was in his party too strong for James Wade. Anderson eventually triumphed 5-1.
For Klaasen is the first time he reached the semifinals at the world championship of the league PDC. In 2006 he was crowned world champion though sometimes at the BDO
