Dutch team grabs third gold at European Championships swimming in open water – NUsport.nl

The Netherlands Saturday morning swim caught in the open water.

Sharon Rouwendaal, Ferry Weertman and Marcel Schouten were at the five kilometers for teams third gold medal at the European Championships in 55 minutes, 47 seconds and eight tenths Greece and Germany too quickly.

Weertman and Van Rouwendaal grabbed by the gain their second gold medal at the European Championships. Both were previously the best in the individual 10 kilometers. Furthermore, Van Rouwendaal picked up on the five kilometer also a silver medal.

Schouten was the team competition, the first part in this European Championship. He comes Sunday still in action on the 25th kilometer.

The Dutch team was already halfway to head on the rowing and canoeing course in Berlin Grunau, but then had only 1.9 seconds ahead of the Greek team .
