The German hockey men Hockey semifinal round of World League (HWL) won in Buenos Aires. The Germans defeated Sunday evening (local time) host Argentina 4-1.
Cristopher Rühr soon put his team in the match on the right track, after Niklas Wellen doubled the score. Argentina did what back through Juan Gilardi. Then again Rühr and finally were Florian Fuchs, who set the final score to 4-1 for Germany.
The final place, Germany had already qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games, as well as for the final round of the Hockey World League later this year in India.
The Dutch men picked up earlier on Sunday already bronze in the semifinal round of the World League. The team of coach Max Caldas was up 6-0 too strong for Canada, and thus also clinch for the Games of Rio de Janeiro and participation in the final round of the HWL.
