NO to European Games – Telegraaf.nl

NOC * NSF must return the organization of the European Games 2019 the European Olympic Committee (EOC). This is the result of consultations between sports minister Edith Schippers, provinces and municipalities. It turned out to be insufficient support for the financial contribution of approximately 80 million euro where the Olympic sports federation government had requested

.

After Rotterdam and Utrecht, this morning also revealed Eindhoven do not want to participate in the project, which three of the five major cities have dropped out.

Because now it was clear that several major Dutch sports doubted especially the sport content the European Games, it was decided as a bloc “no” to sell to the Hague existing NOC President Andre Bolhuis, Director Gerard Dielissen and technical director Maurits Hendriks.

Four weeks ago, the EOC decided the organization of the European Games in 2019 attributable to the Netherlands, although Dutch Olympic Committee could not provide financial guarantees.

Good Decision for the European Games mean nothing and had cost lots of money without any prospect of a positive outcome.

Well, the VVD would have liked it invested 80 million domestically, but the leftist municipalities were opposed. Or not, and that we send the money to Greece. I was also rather held here, but yes, the voter may decide. Next time more VVD votes and keep the money here I’d say.

Additional payments to the EU more than EUR 650 million, payments for adventurers, bed, bath, bread and spending money, more than 1 billion euros, the FYRA treindebakel 800 million. The allocation for the European Olympic games cost 80 million euros (likely payback of TV rights), no money, no time and no sense, a nice day, this is the Netherlands at its narrowest!

Good news, sports, the hobby of people, the government would not need to contribute. The same, incidentally culture.

80 million. Let them pay for it themselves. There are things that are a lot more necessary

Happy! The naturalness with which the (already subsidized) sport setting tax money from the government asking surprises me enormously. A wise minister so.

Hahaha, a few billion away to other countries is not a problem and 80 million to invest in their own country is too much? So sad again!
