Jol chooses Egyptian adventure at Al Ahly – Voetbal International

Martin Jol is the new coach of the Egyptian Al Ahly, which has confirmed the club from capital Cairo. The Dutchman signing a contract until mid-2017.

Al Ahly Jol is the successor to the Portuguese coach Jose Pereiro, who left for FC Porto. At the Egyptian record champion list includes former Feyenoord Hossam Ghaly and Sherif Ekramy under contract. Al Ahly is currently at the top of the Egyptian league. Jol begins Sunday at his new job.

The former coach of Ajax include working for the last time as head coach at Fulham, which he left in December 2013. He later became active at ADO Den Haag as commissioner.
