NAC fails again and let time title to FC Eindhoven – Voetbal International

NAC Breda Monday by a slip at FC Emmen failed to win the title period. FC Eindhoven benefited a lot by beating FC Oss and indeed grabbed the third period. The team of Mitchell van der Gaag has thus already secured participation in the playoffs. Young PSV and Ajax were still able to throw a spanner in the works, but did not win.

NAC already heading off by a high ranking in the regular rankings to participate in the playoffs, but the team of Marinus Dijkhuizen did tonight to win that ticket. Then NAC did have to rectify the mistake on Friday (1-1 against MVV Maastricht). With a win period title would indeed be inside and NAC had with a draw had a good chance at a party.

FC Emmen, however, proved too great an obstacle. In the first half NAC created little and were the visitors on the stroke of half very well off. Goalkeeper Jelle ten Rouwelaar rescued feline with a great opportunity for Jens Jurn Streutker.

NAC is now fourth in the regular rankings. There too Eindhoven indeed passed. The Brabant now have one point more. Tourist has three points more than NAC and Sparta is already twelve points (!) From NAC with also a game less.

At Eindhoven was the task simple. There had to be extracted from Oss to qualify for the third period title. Ten minutes before half-victory took shape. Tom Boere headed in from a corner.

Ten minutes before Eindhoven secured the victory when Jari Vandeputte headed inside, then slid inside Gervane Kastaneer and Roald van Hout made a handsome goal for the icing on the cake: 0-4. Because it was after the break at that position and PSV and Ajax did not win the other fields at FC Eindhoven could be uncorked champagne. The players were on the field, after all, how NAC failed to score in the final minutes against Emmen.

The current number three joins Volendam and Sparta, both already packed a period title.
