Feasibility study NOC * NSF for European Games in 2019 in the Netherlands – Focus on News

In 2015, finds this quadrennial event for the first time held in Baku, Azerbaijan. NOC * NSF decision has been communicated to the Board of the EOC (European Olympic Committees) during exploratory talks on 17 and December 18, 2014 in Amsterdam. The EOC board responded enthusiastically to the approach presented by the NOC * NSF.

The investigation will NOC * NSF, the Ministry of Health, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and all interested cities, municipalities, provinces and involve other parties in the Netherlands. The ability to organize around the European Games over a large part of the Netherlands and especially to make use of existing accommodation, is expressly part of the approach of the NOC * NSF. After the initial exploration with the EOC eight NOC * NSF, an amount of one hundred million realistic for organizing the European Games in the Netherlands.

The European Games is a multi-sport event for athletes from all over Europe (49 countries) and is held every four years. The Games are organized and regulated by the EOC. The European Games were created during the General Assembly of the EOC on December 9, 2012 in Rome, Italy, when 84 percent of the National Olympic Committees of Europe voted for the setting up of European Games. The European Games find every place in other European countries. The first European Games will take place in Baku in June next year.
