Yaya Toure belongs again to the nominees for the title African Footballer of the Year. The Ivorian midfielder from Manchester City was the last three times the price to get. Except Touré Dortmund are the Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and the Nigerian goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama from Lille, France nominated.
Last year he left his compatriot Didier Drogba and Nigerian John Obi Mikel behind. If Touré (31) is chosen it equals the Cameroon striker Samuel Eto’o, who was in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2010 African Footballer of the Year.
