Van Barneveld impresses in first round World Darts – NUsport.nl

Raymond van Barneveld has no trouble Monday reached the second round of the World Championship darts.

The Hagenaar was in London too strong for the only 20-year-old Austrian Rowby- John Rodriguez. It was 3-0.

Van Barneveld made after a somewhat slow start impression at Alexandra Palace. In the second set he made with a finish of 167 before the highest ejection of the tournament so far, but the finale was even more beautiful.

With an ejection of 170 he decided the party. Van Barneveld is the fifth Dutchman who managed to qualify for the next round of the world championship.

Jelle Klaasen, Michael van Gerwen, Benito van de Pas and Ryan de Vreede preceded him. Tuesday come Vincent van der Voort and Jermaine Wattimena still in action in the first round
