Verstappen passed in twelfth position but received time penalties for ignoring blue flags and leave the job to an overtaking maneuver on Jenson Button.
The victory at the Yas Marina Circuit was won Nico Rosberg. The German Mercedes trumped world champion Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen of Ferrari down.
Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) and Sergio Perez (Force India) completed the top five full. Vettel started from fifteenth place and was condemned in the beginning to catch up.
It is the first time that Rosberg in three Grands Prix triumphs in a row. In Mexico and Brazil allocated to the German with his teammate Hamilton.
Verstappen decide the championship in twelfth. In his debut season in Formula 1 finished the Limburger ten times in the points. His best result was fourth place in Hungary and the United States.
Hamilton already secured the world title, while Rosberg had already secured second place in the championship.
Hectic
The first round of the last Grand Prix of 2015 went quite hectic with many attempts at overtaking. Rosberg maintained its first place, partly because Hamilton was badly out of position. Verstappen lap in the early stages off the track, but consolidated his eleventh grid position.
After the first series of pit stops the Dutchman lost some ground to win a place again after a touché between Valtteri Bottas and Jenson Button in the pitlane, an incident which the Finn took time

Verstappen gave many places price due to a welded pitstop after he blocked his wheels when braking. A place in the top ten there was then no longer in the youngest F1 driver of all time.
Verstappen was by time penalties eventually sixteenth.
New season
In the meantime, the first place of Rosberg did not truly in danger, all Hamilton was constantly on the lookout. The German kept his cool and drove to his sixth win of 2015.
The new Formula 1 season begins on March 20, 2016 with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne. The provisional calendar counts a record 21 races
