Nijhuis wins bronze in 100m breaststroke – NUsport.nl

Moniek Nijhuis said Saturday at the World Short Course Championships in Doha again captured a bronze medal.

On the 100 meter breaststroke tipped the Dutch swimmer with a time of 1.04,03 third. The gold was for the Jamaican Alia Atkinson, who nipped 1.02,36 Lithuanian favorite Rūta Meilutytė for continued.

Nijhuis took earlier also bronze in the 50m breaststroke.

Florent Manaudou spent in Doha again a world record on the clocks. He came on the 50 meter backstroke in a time of 22.22. He continued this practice under the old record that since November 2009 at 22.61 in the name was the American Peter Marshall.

Manaudou, who has a Dutch mother, swam Friday also a world record in the 50 meter freestyle .

The Russian men sharpened their own world record in the 4×50 meter freestyle until 1.22,60. The old top time was last year at 1.23,36
