Louis van Gaal has with Manchester United on Monday evening thanks to two goals from Robin van Persie won 2-1 visiting Southampton Ronald Koeman.
In an exciting game Van Persie put the visitors an early lead, but former Feyenoord Graziano Pellè made after more than half an hour for the equalizer.
However, it was Van Persie who decided the game in the second half. With the win passes United Southampton and West Ham United at the rankings in the Premier League.
Van Gaal’s team, which posted the fifth win in a row, is now behind third behind Chelsea and Manchester City 28 points from 15 games.
Southampton dropped to fifth place and two points less. Koeman’s team did not win against United for the fourth game in a row.

After the break the game was pretty close, but it was Van Persie who decided the game. From a free kick from Wayne Rooney, he tipped the ball at the far post pretty inside.
In the remainder of the second half the team Koeman was still looking for the equalizer, but that was not there more
